There are a lot of things in life we just can’t do. That’s right. Sometimes we just don’t have it. We don’t have a handle on our circumstances. We don’t have what it takes to makes things better. We don’t have the answers, energy, wisdom, patience, solution, or way out of a situation.
But, we do know the One who does. And, when you know the One who does, there’s no need to worry. God’s got it. That’s what we’re talking about with our preschoolers this month. No need to worry, be afraid, or feel alone. God’s got it!
We will begin week one with the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They are thrown into a fiery furnace for not bowing down to an idol. But, there is no need to worry as God’s got it. God was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, and He is with us too.
We’ll learn that God hears us and gives us what us need, no matter what desolate place we find ourselves in. He heard Hagar’s son crying in the desert and sent an angel to show them where to find water. God heard Hagar and her son, and God hears me and you too.
During week three we’ll hear the awesome story of baby Moses. The mean Pharaoh wanted to hurt baby Moses, but his mommy hid him in a basket in the reeds. There he was discovered and ultimately saved by none other than the Pharaoh’s daughter. Moses went on to save God’s people from slavery. God had a plan for Moses, and God has a plan for us too.
We hear another part of Moses’ story in week four. The Israelites forgot that God’s got it and begin to whine and complain of thirst in the desert. God has Moses hit a rock with a stick to provide water for His people proving once again that He does have it under control. Even when we can’t see or understand what God is doing, we can trust that God’s got it.
No matter what the situation or need. No matter how big or small the circumstance. God’s got it. Because, God loves us—A LOT! And THAT is what we want our preschoolers to know.
