DAY 1
There’s no such thing as a perfect family because, well, families are made up of imperfect people. Jesus is the only person ever who never made a mistake; so even though we often wish they would be, we can’t expect our family members to be without fault. That’s why we should be patient with those who we share our homes with, and forgive them when they get on our nerves or mess up. This week, choose to respond patiently when someone in your family bothers you or does something wrong.

DAY 2
Sometimes it’s tough to know how to respond when people hurt our feelings or do things that bother us. Maybe you want to tell the person off, ignore them, or complain about them on social media. But what if instead, you took a moment to think about how you’d want to be treated if someone felt that way about you or something you did? This perspective can help us do what’s right even when it’s hard. Today, look for a chance to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and treat them like you want to be treated.

DAY 3
Do you ever disagree with people in authority, like a teacher, coach, or parent? Sometimes it’s natural for us to think we know what’s best—the best play for the team, the best way to do homework (or not do homework), or the best place for us to be on Friday night. That’s why it can feel frustrating when people tell us what to do. This week, when your mom or dad tells you to do something, avoid talking back or rolling your eyes, and respond in a way that shows respect and kindness.
