In week two of the series ME, we are talking about how even when we feel unloveable, God still likes us!

SCRIPTURE:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.” Psalm 139:13-14

ME - Week 2

Have you ever noticed how famous people usually have famous parents? Take Will Smith, for example. As of 2014, he was the leading man in 21 movies and he had four Grammy Awards.

Will has two kids—Jaden and Willow. In his first ever movie debut, Jaden won the award for Breakthrough Performance at the MTV Movie Awards. His daughter Willow is the youngest artist on Jay-Z’s record label, and has had her own radio hit, “Whip My Hair.”

Bottom line? They inherited some talent from their dad.

Now let’s talk about your dad—the One who created you. When you see a sunset, a waterfall, or a starlit sky, know that God is the One who created it. And, as His child, you’ve inherited some skills and abilities from your Heavenly Father.

If you’re anything like most of us, it’s hard not to compare ourselves to others. He’s got a better job. Her Instagram photo got tons of likes. He got the promotion that I wanted. Even as adults, we want to be liked and we want to be popular. But when we look at others, we never feel as if we are enough. The problem with that thinking is it moves your attention away from celebrating what God has given YOU.

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it (Psalm 139:14 NLT).

The Inventor of life created you. He created you intentionally and lovingly. And you are enough.
