We can’t think of a better time to teach preschoolers about how much Jesus loves them than February—the month of love! And how much does Jesus love preschoolers? Well, the same as He loves you and me—A LOT! In fact, there is nothing wider or longer or higher or deeper than the love Jesus has for you and the preschoolers in your life.
This month, our goal is for preschoolers to know Jesus loves them, and that nothing will ever change that. To do that, we’ve planned some super fun, hands-on-activities and we’re ready to tell amazing Bible stories in ways that will engage young minds.
We will kick off the month with one of our favorite stories, Jesus and the Children. In this story, Jesus makes it very clear that children are important, and He wants them to come to Him. Why? Because Jesus loves them! Jesus loves us all—young or old. And, we’re never too old or young to hear about His amazing love for us.
Week two we will hear a story about Jesus’ friends, Mary and Martha. Jesus wanted them to stop and sit a bit so they could spend time together. Why? Because Jesus loved them. Jesus wants to spend time with us because He loves us too! We can spend time with Jesus by reading the Bible, by praying, and even by taking a walk out in nature.
Week three is an exciting story about a Centurion. He was an important solider that asked Jesus for help. Do you think Jesus helped him? Of course He did! Why? Because Jesus loved him. Because Jesus loves us, He wants to help us. We can always ask Jesus for help—no matter what kind of situation we find ourselves in.
We’ll wrap up the month with a tender story about a time Jesus gave forgiveness, grace, and friendship to a woman who had made a lot of mistakes. Why? Because Jesus loved her, no matter what. Jesus loves us all the time. It doesn’t matter what we do. It doesn’t matter what we say. Jesus loves us—all of us.
Imagine if the preschoolers in your life grew up believing, with all their heart, that Jesus wants them to come to Him, He wants to spend time with them, He wants to help them, and He wants to be their friend forever—all because He loves them, no matter what.
