We were designed by God to be relational beings. Relationships are vital to our well-being, and specifically we need good, reliable friends. As we help our students discover the importance of having deep, meaningful relationships with other Christians, we also need to help them understand that they shouldn’t completely abandon their friends who aren’t following Jesus. In fact, God wants them to be effective witnesses and ambassadors for Jesus to those they know. Friendships are important—both Christ-following friends and non-Christian friends.

This three-week series will encourage and equip teenagers to pursue lifestyles that will draw their friends closer to Jesus. We’ll challenge students to ask God to open up opportunities for their friends to hear about Jesus. We’ll talk about how your students are the best people to invite their friends to an appropriate setting where they will feel welcomed, accepted, and comfortable to hear more about Jesus. And we’ll give your teenagers some practical tips and thoughts on being prepared to help a friend begin a personal relationship with Jesus.
