DAY 1
Have you ever hoped for something to go one way, but then it didn’t? Perhaps it was that time you didn’t make the team or didn’t get that certain role in the school play. Whenever life doesn’t go as planned, we are faced with a choice: We can put our hope in our plans, or we can trust God’s plans for our future. Pray today that God will show you that you can trust and hope in His plan for your life. After all, His plan is always the best plan.

DAY 2
Christmas is a season often overflowing from the start. From big dinners and class parties to church services and over-packed schedules, it’s often the busiest season of the year! While this season can be filled with good things, it can also be a time full of so much busyness that it threatens to steal our hope and peace. This week, instead of over-filling your plate and schedule, take the time to fill your heart with God’s Word. Start by memorizing this verse so you don’t miss the peace and hope the Christmas season has to offer.

DAY 3
One of the best feelings we can have is when someone we love or respect is pleased with—or delights in—us. But even better than that is when God Himself does so. In today’s verse, we learn that it pleases God when we actively put our hope in something that promises to never fail us: His love. What can you do today to place your hope in the love of the One who delights in you?
